John has been a constant in my tennis life for nearly 20 years. From my first days on court he facilitated my love for tennis and developed the core of the game I still possess. John has been invaluable in my junior, college and professional careers and has a depth of understanding of the game of tennis that is matched by his ability to understand me as an athlete, tennis player and person.

Does this replace 1-hour lessons?
Yes, I don’t believe these are effective at truly developing a transformation in players of this level. they are still available once a player reaches a certain level where I can see they will commit and engage properly in between sessions. They are sporadic, disjointed by nature (weather or illness), and don’t allow a framework for genuine developoment in between, Many become very generic and we can digitize the generic parts easily.
How often are my on court sessions?
4 Hours per month, either in 2 x 2 Hour sessions or 2 X 1.5 plus 1 x 1 hour depending on schedule.
What is the venue
I am flexible around locations and the courtbooking will be the responsibitity of the player.
What is the investment?
This is a monthly subsription of $695 that covers all areas prescribed above. Price includes GST.
Is there ongoing support?
Yes as well as on court sessions and zoom checkins players will have direct WhatsApp access for text and voice checkins. Great for motivation, pre match focus and remaining focussed to tehir program.
What about squad training?
Squad training with other coaches in encouraged as long as the payer remains focus on their individual targets.
What is the commitment
Very much month by month, but ongoing involvement is strictly dependant on the player achieving all goals, online and training modules.
Extra 1 on 1 sessions
these will be available at a cost of $90 per hour as long as players are meeting their expected standards.

Professional tennis coaching is an industry that has come under scrutiny in recent years for a number of reasons. One of the main issues is the lack of standardisation and regulation in the industry.
Unlike other sports, there is no governing body that oversees the training and certification of tennis coaches. This means that anyone can call themselves a tennis coach, regardless of their qualifications or experience. This lack of regulation has led to a proliferation of unqualified coaches who may not have the necessary knowledge or skills to properly train elite players.
Another issue with the structure of professional tennis coaching is the lack of support and resources for coaches at lower levels of the sport. While top players may have access to the best coaching and facilities, coaches at lower levels often have to work with limited resources and support. This can make it difficult for them to develop the skills and knowledge necessary to move up the ranks and work with elite players.
.Another major problem with the industry is the lack of long-term development opportunities for coaches. Many coaches start their careers working with young players, but as those players age and move up the ranks, the coaches are often left without a stable source of work or income. This can make it difficult for coaches to sustain a career in the industry, and can also lead to a lack of continuity in the development of young players. In addition, there is a gap in the quality of coaching available to different players based on their socioeconomic background. While many elite players have access to top-tier coaching and resources, players from lower socioeconomic backgrounds may not have access to the same level of coaching, which can make it difficult for them to reach their full potential.
Furthermore, the industry is heavily influenced by the money and fame rather than the development of the players and the coaches. Many coaches are more interested in making quick money rather than focusing on the development of the players and ensuring their longevity in the sport. In conclusion, the structure and industry of professional tennis coaching is in need of major reform. The lack of standardisation and regulation, lack of support and resources for coaches at lower levels of the sport, heavy influence of the "star system", lack of long-term development opportunities for coaches, and the gap in quality of coaching based on socioeconomic background are all major issues that need to be addressed in order to improve the quality of coaching and the development of players in the sport.
